About OSI

Ontario Swine Improvement (OSI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing swine improvement and genetic products, programs, information and expertise. Our goal is to help both purebred breeders and commercial swine producers achieve competitive advantages and excellence in the global marketplace through genetic improvement and superior marketing.

A.I. Services

OSI is proud to work with the top Genetic Suppliers in the world, supplying domestic and international producers with high quality semen and high quality genetics.

Research and Development

Ontario Swine Improvement is dedicated to the improvement of genetics and production in the swine industry.  Our Research and Development Committee is actively seeking opportunities where OSI can contribute to these endeavours.

Board of Directors

The strength of the OSI Board of Directors is in the diversity of its makeup. The OSI Board is comprised of members from various sectors of the Canadian Swine Industry. The present structure calls for three representatives from the Swine Breeder group, and two from the Commercial Producers group. Up to four Board members can be appointed.   One Meat Industry representative, one Canadian Swine Genetics representative and up to two Directors at Large.
